2012’s Sweetest Little Knight in Shining Armour came replete with a traveling case (i try to make a safe space for the more fragile works). The teeth are mounted on a spring (also from a lighter) and set into a wooden cabinet knob which i covered in chain. The knight is wearing a helmet made from  – you guessed it – a lighter, with a little feather in his cap. The body armour, shield and sword are a variety of recycled aluminums.

Sweetest Little Thing is an annual Valentines day art auction in Sackville NB, in support of both the Owens Art Gallery (where it’s held) and Struts Gallery and Faucet Media Art Centre. Locally, it’s a fun, family friendly party (replete with a cakewalk), but even if you are from afar, you can participate by submitting you high bid online, and have proxy bidders win that art for you, you lovers of art!
