This is my 2005 Sweetest Little Thing submission – I can’t recall what i named it. It’s made from an old typewriter i found in a ditch, some foam core scraps and a whole lot of hockey tape, some acrylic paint and a few other little bits and bobs, including the cardboard box that the organizers were sending out for maker’s inspiration. My husband was the successful bidder, so this is the only one i was able to keep!

Sweetest Little Thing is an annual Valentines day art auction in Sackville NB, in support of both the Owens Art Gallery (where it’s held) and Struts Gallery and Faucet Media Art Centre. Locally, it’s a fun, family friendly party (replete with a cakewalk), but even if you are from afar, you can participate by submitting you high bid online, and have proxy bidders win that art for you, you lovers of art!
