Sweetest Little Dinner Date is my 2026 Sweetest Little Thing submission. It’s made from recycled media: a well chewed dog toy’s squeaker guts, champagne wire, old guitar strings, vintage shag knit, cardboard, a miscellany of other bits, some adhesives and paints (aka hockey tape and nailpolish), and as per usual – the teeth that i make from dead lighter parts… this little creep can either hang around (suspended from what’s left of it’s last dinner date) or stand on it’s own, and it is for sure one of my favourites (but aren’t they all?)!

Sweetest Little Thing is an annual Valentines day art auction in Sackville NB, in support of both the Owens Art Gallery and Struts Gallery & Faucet Media Art Centre. Locally, it’s a fun family friendly party, and if you’re from afar, you can participate by bidding online!
